Beast of Reincarnation Boss Guides

Bosses are the spine of this game: giant corrupted rulers of the world whose powers Emma captures after victory. This hub fills with individual strategies from the moment the game unlocks.

Updated: August 2, 2026 — first boss guides land with the Aug 3–4 launch

How bosses work in Beast of Reincarnation

Bosses aren't just checkpoints — they're the story's structure. Japan 4026 is ruled by Bosses from all over the world, massive blight-corrupted creatures (and machines) that dominate entire regions. Emma the Sealer's mission is to defeat each one and capture its power, adding new abilities to her and Koo's arsenal, before facing the Beast of Reincarnation itself.

That capture mechanic means boss order may shape your build — in classic Game Freak fashion, what you defeat becomes what you wield. Combat previews show huge multi-phase encounters that demand pattern learning, stamina discipline and smart use of Koo's commanded techniques (see the combat system guide).

Boss list

Full boss list arrives at launch. Game Freak has deliberately kept boss names and count under wraps before release — any "complete boss list" you see published before August 3 is speculation. From unlock hour we're playing and documenting every encounter here, typically within hours of reaching it.

What each boss guide will include

Expected difficulty

Everything points to a demanding game: Steam tags lean Souls-like and Difficult, and press comparisons run to Sekiro — a game famous for strict boss discipline. If the first boss walls you, that's by design. Start with our combat fundamentals, and remember that ranged and stealth playstyles are explicitly supported for harder encounters.
